$550 if payment is received before June th, $600 on the day.
The Pilates Unlimited Mat Teacher Training program consists of actual
contact hours with the teacher, covering Anatomy, Pilates
Fundamentals using the Pilates Unlimited Key Connections™ model
Effective Teaching, Postural Considerations and Student Teaching. The
extensive information, training and practice gained during this
training course will give the student the tools, confidence and
encouragement to teach a Pilates Mat class in a private or group
environment. On completion of the Mat Teacher Training course,
students will be able to:
- Teach a Pilates class in a private or group environment
- Identify the names and sequencing of basic/intermediate
Pilates exercises
- Discuss current research as it relates to core
activation and control
- Apply biomechanical principles to Pilates
exercises
- Learn, experience and teach modifications to the exercises
- Discuss the benefits of verbal, visual and tactile cuing
- Discover and discuss how the mind can hinder or help movement
- Understand the levels of cognitive learning
During the training you will have the
opportunity to practice the exercises, teach the exercises, and
evaluate the exercises in order to fit the specific needs of the
client.
Upon receipt of the non-refundable deposit of $150 you will
receive the Pilates Unlimited Mat Manual, a Getting Started 2-disc
DVD - prior to the class so that you may begin studying immediately.
Payment Options:

place and receive study materials. Balance of payment $400 must be
received by June 12th, 2008.
- Payment on the day, by check or cash
only $600 per person. Study materials will be given upon payment.
Yoga Teacher Training Program
This program is open to people with a desire to teach yoga, as well as intermediate or advanced level students who are interested in deepening their study and practice beyond asana to include yogic philosophy, anatomy for yoga, pranayama, etc.
The summer/fall 100-hour session begins August 8 and will includes four weekend intensives: August 8-10, September 5-7, October 3-5 and November 7-9.
A second 100-hour session will meet from February to May (dates to be announced). This is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered training program taught by Pam Schulte, E-RYT. Graduates of the full 200-hour program will be eligible for Registered Yoga Teacher status through Yoga Alliance (www.yogaalliance.org).

Below is a sample of items covered in the full 200-hour program:
- Vinyasa Flow, Astanga and Hatha yoga practice and teaching methodology
- The art of safe and effective adjustments
- Principles of demonstrating and explaining yoga postures
- Using props and modifying poses
- Student teaching
- Anatomy for yoga
- Discussion of the the eight limbed path of yoga
- Yoga Sutra study and discussion
- Teaching bandhas and breathing
- Ethics of teaching
- The basics of sequencing
- Bhagavad Gita study and discussion
- Meditation and pranayama practice
Course Requirements:
- Attend weekend sessions
- Observe a minimum of 10 group yoga classes
- Regular home yoga practice and attending at least one group class per month
- Assigned reading and homework
- Completion of hands-on test and written exam
Course Pre Requisites:
- Minimum of one to two years yoga experience
- A regular personal yoga practice
- A basic knowledge of the eight limbs of ashtanga yoga
- A strong commitment to the course
- A compassionate love of yoga
- An open mind and desire to learn
Cost for each 100-hour course is $900 and does not include the cost of required books. A
Just Practice Yoga Teacher Training manual will be provided for all participants. A list of required and recommended books will be sent upon acceptance into the program. Classes will be held at The Pilates
